Clanton and the surrounding central Alabama landscape are defined by the winding course of Walnut Creek and its many tributaries. This 2014 survey captures the suburban and rural character of the area as it stretches southeast from the city center toward Verbena. A high concentration of family and community burial grounds, such as the Aldridge Family Cem and Maple Springs Cem, highlights the deep-rooted local history across the terrain.
