Clermont and the surrounding Hall County hillsides are defined by the winding tributaries of the Little River, where the West Fork and East Fork converge. In the mid-1960s, the southern landscape was significantly altered by the rising waters of Lake Sidney Lanier, creating new shorelines at the Wahoo Creek Access Point and beneath the Wahoo Creek Bridge.

A network of country roads connects numerous small congregations, including Walka Mtn Ch, Bethel Ch, and two separate sites for Dewberry Ch No 1 and Dewberry Ch No 2. Evidence of earlier transport and industry remains visible through the Old Railroad Grade north of Brookton and the Gravel Pits near Buckhorn Mountain. Educational and safety infrastructure like the North Hall Sch and the Nopone Lookout Tower served this rural community during this period of transition.
