Pasayten Wilderness and the northern reaches of the Okanogan National Forest dominate this high-altitude landscape. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent summits, including Coleman Peak, Reed Peak, and Thirtymile Peak, which separate the various drainages feeding the Chewuch River. This 2023 survey illustrates the complex hydrology of the region, where numerous small creeks like Blizzard Creek and Coleman Creek descend from the peaks to the main river valley.
