Okanogan National Forest and Wenatchee National Forest meet at a sharp boundary line near Cooper Mountain, defining a landscape of steep drainages and mountain peaks. High-elevation points like Goff Peak and Washington Butte overlook a network of seasonal watercourses, including Antoine Creek and Joe Creek. Recreational development is evident at the Echo Valley Ski Area, complete with a Ski Lift, while the southern reaches descend toward the northern tip of Lake Chelan.

The infrastructure of the early 21st century is captured through several water-management features, such as an Aqueduct, Reservoir, and numerous wells scattered across the lower elevations. Local transport is facilitated by roads following the natural contours, including Cooper Mountain Road and Windsap Road, alongside a small Airstrip situated in a valley between Swanson Gulch and Purtteman Gulch.
