Lake Powell dominates the northern reaches of this San Juan County landscape, where the reservoir meets the dramatic contours of Mille Crag Bend and Sheep Canyon. The terrain is defined by high tablelands and deep drainage systems, notably the namesake Copper Point and the expansive Wingate Mesa in the south. The primary artery through this area is Ut-95, which snakes across the center of the sheet, providing access to remote landmarks within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
