Brockie Spring and Nantelle Spring provide critical water sources in this high plains landscape along the border of Blaine and Phillips counties. This 2014 survey reveals a terrain defined by deep drainage systems, most notably the namesake Crazyman Coulee and Matador Coulee. These coulees, along with Warneke Coulee and Otter Robe Coulee, represent the complex erosional patterns typical of the region's cattle-ranching country. Connectivity through this sparse environment is maintained by unpaved local routes such as Hays Rd, Montgomery Rd, and Mitchell Rd. Seasonal waterways like Little Suction Cr, Running Crow Cr, and Squaw Cr lace the draws, while the southern reaches are marked by the course of Cabin Cr. This map illustrates the intersection of public land survey sections and the natural topography of the Big Sky state.
