Cyclone Peak Lookout stands as the high point of this Flathead County landscape, overlooking a series of ridges and drainages that define the northwestern Montana wilderness. The terrain is structured by prominent landforms such as Winona Ridge and Dead Horse Ridge, which channel a network of cold-water streams including Coal Creek and Moran Creek. These waterways eventually feed toward the North Fork Flathead River, which marks the eastern boundary of the area.
