The De Roche and Caney communities anchor this Hot Spring County landscape, characterized by the transition from the high ridges of Jack Mountain down into the undulating DeLisle Hills. The area is defined by a dense network of small waterways, including Prairie Bayou, Curl Creek, and De Roche Creek, which carve through the terrain. Evidence of long-standing local settlement is prominent through numerous small family and community burial grounds such as Hickory Grove Cem, Holstein Cem, and Estep Cem.
