Decker and the small settlement of Hemans anchor this rural landscape in the Thumb region of Michigan. The area is defined by a strictly organized grid of agricultural roads, including Snover RD and Germania RD, which cut across the meandering paths of North Branch White Creek and the South Branch Cass River. These waterways provided the natural drainage essential for the development of the surrounding farmland.
