Mt Mather and Mt Eldridge dominate this high-altitude landscape within the boundaries of Denali National Park. The survey illustrates a terrain of extreme verticality, defined by the slow movement of the Muldrow Glacier in the northwest corner. This 2015 study also identifies the internal border between Denali Borough and Matanuska-Susitna Borough, which cuts across the high peaks in the southern portion of the quadrangle. The map is primarily a record of glaciated wilderness and high-mountain topography, showing the complex drainage and elevation patterns that characterize this segment of the Alaska Range.
