Denali Wilderness and Denali National Park define this interior Alaskan landscape, where the survey captures a pristine network of glacial rivers and high-elevation terrain. The hydrology is dominated by the Foraker River in the northeast corner and the braided channels of the Herron River winding across the southern sections. This 2023 edition provides a high-resolution view of the natural drainages and topographic contours within these protected lands, including the headwaters of White Creek. As part of the Denali A-4 NW quadrangle, the map reflects a region largely untouched by permanent human settlement or modern infrastructure, serving as an essential record of the contemporary wilderness state in the Denali Borough.
