Newfoundland Mountains rise sharply out of the surrounding Mud flats in this remote corner of Box Elder County. The 1991 survey shows a landscape defined by its extreme isolation and limited water sources, such as Sleigh Spring and various unnamed Spring points. Human activity is evidenced by scattered Mines and Prospects, along with primitive 4wd tracks and a Pack Trail winding through Dells Canyon and Sleigh Canyon.
