Devils Playground characterizes this high-desert landscape in southwest Wyoming, where the terrain is shaped by a complex network of ephemeral drainages and dramatic geological features. The area is defined by the massive ridge of Black Mountain and the deep incision of the Flaming Gorge along the eastern edge, which falls within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area.
