Devils Sinkhole (Cavern) serves as the dramatic centerpiece of this Edwards County landscape, where the Edwards Plateau transitions into a complex system of draws and hollows. The northern portion of the map is defined by relatively open upland terrain, marked by a Landing Strip, a Roadside Park, and a Pipeline that traverses the limestone heights near Cedar Knob.

South of the sinkhole, the topography breaks into a dense network of seasonal drainage systems, including Deadman Hollow, Lane Hollow, and Thurman Hollow. These canyons feed into Hackberry Creek, where several Spring sites are noted. This 1970s survey, updated in the 1980s, documents a rugged ranching landscape where names like Steve Kemp Draw and Guthrie Draw indicate localized family history and the critical importance of water sources in the Texas Hill Country.
