Lake Kickapoo and its surrounding watershed dominate the northern reaches of this Archer County landscape, where the Little Wichita River and its Middle Fork carve through the north-central Texas plains. The area reflects a mid-century economy built on petroleum extraction and ranching, most notably evidenced by the extensive Oldham Oil Field in the southeast. Scattered Oil Wells and several Drill Holes are mapped across the terrain, connected by a network of pipelines that traverse the countryside.

Social and infrastructure markers are concentrated near the small settlement of Farmer in the southwest, while a prominent Radio Facility stands near the eastern boundary.
