Eagle Valley Reservoir and the surrounding drainage systems of the Wilson Creek Range define this high-desert basin in eastern Nevada. Water management is the primary human imprint on this landscape, represented by features like the Hollinger Debris Reservoir and the extensive Meadow Valley Wash network. The terrain is marked by sharp topographic transitions, from the heights of Horsethief Mtn down through Horsethief Canyon and Fullman Canyon. A few established routes, including Spring Valley Rd and Reed Cabin Rd, provide access to the area's vital water sources such as Willow Spring and Horsethief Spring. The transition from the alluvial fans of Spring Valley to the deep incisions of State Line Canyon illustrates the complex erosional history of the region.
