Eden Valley sits at the southern edge of this Lewis and Cowlitz County landscape, where the rugged drainages of the Cowlitz River system define the terrain. The northern section is marked by the distinct open spaces of Cowlitz Prairie and Layton Prairie, contrasting with the deeply incised valleys of the N-Fork Cedar Cr and Jack Welches Cr. A complex network of rural routes, such as Hinkley Rd and Cedar Creek Rd, provides access to the timberlands and homesteads that have long characterized this part of Southwest Washington.
