Edgewood straddles the county line at the junction of Clayton Co Delaware Co, serving as a central hub for the surrounding townships of Lodomillo, Cass, and Honey Creek. This 1960s survey documents a landscape defined by the drainage systems of Honey Creek and Cox Creek, which carve deep incisions such as Mossy Glen Hollow and Alderson Hollow into the northern terrain. The Chicago Milwaukee St Paul and Pacific railroad bisects the southern half of the map, supporting the local economy alongside several extraction sites like the Quarry and various Sandpits. Rural community life is anchored by a significant distribution of small burial grounds, including Noble Cem, Green Hill Cem, and Union Cem. To the east of Edgewood, the protected land of Bixby State Park preserves the natural features near Bear Creek.
