Epoufette sits along the northern shore of Lake Michigan in this 2011 survey of Mackinac County. The settlement is centered where Epoufette Bay Rd meets the shoreline, protected by the geographic features of Point Epoufette and Epoufette Island. Local heritage is anchored at the Epoufette Cemetery, located just north of the village. The landscape transitions from the coastal waters of West Harbor and Kenyon Bay to a dense network of inland water bodies and creeks.
