Epoufette fronts the northern shore of Lake Michigan in this 2017 study of the Mackinac County coastline. The landscape is defined by its relationship with the water, featuring the sheltered Epoufette Bay, Kenyon Bay, and West Harbor. A prominent landform, Point Epoufette, extends into the lake, mirrored just offshore by the small Epoufette Island. Inland, the terrain is a complex network of wetlands and small water bodies such as Marsh Lake, Sand Lake, and McNamara Pond.
