Lake Powell reaches into the northwestern corner of this territory, where the waters of the Colorado River system meet the stark geological formations of Coconino County. Most of the land falls within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, a region defined by high plateaus and deep drainage cuts. The landscape is marked by significant natural spans, including Diagenetic Arch and Jett Arch, which are tucked into the convoluted terrain east of the lake.
