Biggs Ranch and Falconberry Ranch represent the primary points of settlement in this backcountry landscape of Custer County. The terrain is defined by a complex drainage network where Loon Creek and its many tributaries, including Cold Spring Creek, Indian Creek, and Bear Creek, carve through the high country. Aviation access to this isolated area is facilitated by the Falconberry Landing Strip, located near the namesake ranch.
