The small unincorporated community of Fellsburg serves as the focal point for this section of Edwards County, where the transition from high plains agriculture to sand hill topography begins. A strictly organized grid of county roads, including Co Rd 36 and Co Rd 42, partitions the landscape into the sections and townships of the Public Land Survey System. Just south of the settlement, the Fellsburg Cem remains a significant site for local family history, situated at the intersection of Co Rd 45 and Co Rd 36.
