The Rogue Umpqua Divide serves as the topographic backbone for this high-altitude survey of the Southern Cascades, where the Umpqua National Forest and Rogue River National Forest meet. This terrain is defined by its dramatic volcanic and glacial features, notably the unique formation of Hole in the Ground and the distinctive twin peaks of Rabbit Ears. A network of backcountry infrastructure supports seasonal access, including Wiley Camp and the winding Hershberger Lookout Ohv trail leading toward the summit of Hershberger Mtn.
