Fishtrap Lake and Upper Fishtrap Lake sit at the center of this high-altitude landscape within the Lolo National Forest. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent summits, including Lone Tree Peak, Benson Peak, Marmot Peak, and the diminutive Wee Peak. These peaks form the headwaters for a complex drainage system where Fishtrap Cr is fed by several tributaries such as Beartrap Fork, Whiteface Cr, and Shale Cr.
