Siuslaw National Forest dominates this section of the Oregon Coast Range, where the meeting of Lincoln, Benton, and Lane counties is defined by a dense network of watercourses and steep ridges. The Alsea River flows through the northern reaches, while the central landscape is carved by the namesake Five Rivers and its numerous tributaries like Cherry Cr and Lobster Cr. Significant topographic features such as Stoney Mtn and Pitchfork Ridge provide a vertical backdrop to the small settlements of Fisher and Paris.
