Fishlake National Forest encompasses this high-elevation landscape, where the Fremont River and UM Creek descend through deep drainage systems toward the south. The area is defined by its water management infrastructure, most notably the Forsyth Reservoir and the northern edge of Mill Meadow Reservoir, which capture runoff from the surrounding mountains and canyons. These reservoirs are fed by numerous high-country sources, including Forsyth Springs and Danish Meadows Creek.
