About this map

Warm Springs Valley serves as a central basin for this high-desert Nevada landscape, bounded by the Pah Rah Range and Dogskin Mountain. By the late 1970s, the area remained largely undeveloped, characterized by livestock infrastructure such as Corral and Corrals, and vital water sources like Willow Spring and Coyote Spring. The infrastructure present reflects the isolated ranching and mining history of Washoe County, seen in the Ruth Mine and a lonely Landing Strip near the northern boundary.
