Newhouse and Frisco are situated at the edges of a high-desert landscape dominated by the San Francisco Mountains in Beaver County. The terrain transitions from the alluvial fans of Frisco Wash up to significant elevations at Grampian Hill and Indian Grave Peak. This 2014 edition highlights the remnants of late-19th-century mining and rail activity, specifically through the location of the Frisco Cem and the route of Ut-21.
