Glacier National Park straddles the international border in this 2014 survey, where the high peaks of the Lewis Range meet the Canadian frontier. The Belly River flows northward through the center of the sheet, fed by several glacial tributaries and dramatic cascades including Gros Ventre Falls and Dawn Mist Falls. Significant alpine bodies of water like Elizabeth Lake and Otatso Lake are prominent features in this high-elevation landscape. The topography is defined by massive ridges and peaks such as Gable Mtn, Sentinel Mtn, and the long spine of Cosley Ridge. This area represents a protected wilderness where the Mokowanis River joins the larger river systems, and the Gable Pass provides a transition between the drainage basins of Otatso Cr and the Belly River valley.
