Jim Brown Mtn and Gallagher Mtn define this high-elevation landscape in Beaverhead County, where the terrain transitions from the Beaverhead River valley into a complex system of peaks and deep drainages. The northern portion of the map is marked by the distinct Lovells Lake and the winding paths of Lovells Gulch and Cedar Gulch. To the south, the topography becomes more dramatic near Retort Mtn and Gallagher Butte.
