Ryberg Ranch and the small settlement of Raney anchor this high-desert landscape in Lincoln County. The area is defined by a complex network of arroyos and canyons that drain the high ground, most notably Gallo Spring Canyon and Mesa Canyon. The topography transitions from the heights of Rattlesnake Hill and Round Top down into the winding beds of the Cola del Gallo Arroyo and Taylor Canyon.
