Gearhart Mountain Wilderness defines the northern reaches of this high-elevation landscape in Lake County. The terrain is anchored by several prominent geological formations, including Haystack Rock, The Dome, and Palisade Rocks, which rise above the surrounding Fremont National Forest. This modern 2023 survey documents the drainage patterns of the South Fork Sprague River and its numerous tributaries, such as Corral Creek and Leonard Creek.
