Cunningham Hill and the prominent volcanic profile of Crater Knoll define this high-desert landscape in central Utah. The terrain is a complex network of drainage and elevation, where seasonal water features like Little Dry Lake and numerous named seeps, including Winegrass Spring and Hawks Nest Spring, provide critical moisture to an otherwise arid environment. Along the eastern edge, the topography shifts toward the agricultural and transport corridor of the Beaver Valley, evidenced by the presence of the Manderfield Ditch and the open expanses of Wildcat Fields. The map documents a rugged transition zone where the high peaks of Fourmile Ridge and Bald Ridges give way to deep incisions like Fortuna Canyon. This 2017 survey captures the modern infrastructure of the region, including the alignment of Interstate 15 as it cuts through The Hogback.
