Goat Peak and the high ridgelines of Lincoln County define this corner of Montana, where steep drainage basins feed a complex network of named creeks. The landscape is marked by the industrial history of the King Mine, situated on the eastern slopes above Silver Butte Creek. This 2011 survey captures the area’s topographic transition from the heights of Baree Mountain and Canyon Peak down to the creek beds of Galena Creek and Silver Bow Creek.
