Goshen sits at the southern edge of the Goshen Valley, where the transition from agricultural lowlands to the rising slopes of the West Hills is marked by a complex system of water management. Irrigation is central to the landscape, evidenced by the Currant Cr Canal, the Warm Springs Ditch, and the prominent Goshen Reservoir north of town. These features reflect the long-standing efforts to harness the drainage of Currant Cr and Kimball Cr for farming in the arid Utah Valley region.

Further west, the settlement of Elberta and the locality of Mount Nebo are connected by a rigid grid of rural roads, including Elberta Slant Rd and W 15200 S. The southern portion of the map becomes increasingly topographical as it crosses the Utah Co Juab Co boundary. Here, numerous rugged drainages like Government Canyon, Alcorns Canyon, and Goosenest Canyon carve into the uplands, offering a clear view of the natural barriers that defined the limits of local settlement and transport.
