The Boise National Forest encompasses this high-elevation Idaho landscape, defined by the deep drainage of the Middle Fork Boise River. In the northern half of the quadrangle, Grand Mtn rises above a network of drainages including Trapper Creek and Granite Creek. The terrain is marked by a complex system of Forest Service access points, including numerous spurs like Trapper Creek Spur Ab and Granite Crk Spur A, which provide entry into the backcountry from the Atlanta Rd corridor.
