The settlement of Guinda serves as the central hub of this Capay Valley landscape, situated where the valley floor meets the base of the Sweitzer Hills. The geography is defined by the winding course of Cache Cr, which is fed by numerous seasonal drainages including Hamilton Cr and Mushoak Cr. The surrounding terrain rises sharply toward Black Mountain and China Peak, creating a complex network of canyons such as Angus Canyon and Pierce Canyon.
