Hall Mesa rises as a prominent landmark in this desert landscape, where the southern boundary of Capitol Reef National Park meets the expansive Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The terrain is defined by the dramatic geological uplift of the Water Pocket Fold, which dictates the course of Halls Creek and Narrows. The eastern portion of the sheet is dominated by the rising waters of Lake Powell, reaching into Halls Creek Bay and the mouth of Bullfrog Cr.
