Hammil Valley serves as a stark high-desert corridor between the Blind Spring Hill to the west and the soaring White Mountains to the east. At the center of this agricultural and ranching landscape sits the settlement of Hammil, where local access is defined by family-named routes such as Dawson Ranch Rd and Cinnamon Ranch Rd. The northeastern portion of the quadrangle reaches into the protected lands of the Inyo National Forest, encompassing the steep descent of Falls Canyon.
