The Middle Santiam River and South Santiam River define the complex drainages of this section of the Willamette National Forest. High points such as Iron Mtn, Cone Peak, and Harter Mtn dominate the horizon, while Huss Ridge and Browder Ridge form significant natural divides. This 2023 survey documents the modern trail network that allows access to these peaks, including the Cone Peak Trl and the South Pyramid/Creek Trl.
