Hickory Tavern and the western edge of Gray Court anchor this topographic view of the Piedmont landscape where the Greenville and Laurens county lines meet. The terrain is defined by a dense network of tributaries including S Rabon Cr and the Reedy River, which flows through the southwestern corner. This area maintains a strong connection to its early settlers through numerous family and community burial grounds, such as Babb Cem, Dials Cem, and the Henderson Cem near Tumbling Shoals.
