High Divide and Low Divide crest through the mountainous landscape along the border of Oregon and California in this 2015 study. The terrain is defined by a dense network of drainages feeding into larger systems, including the S Fork Winchuck River to the north and the North Fork Smith River to the southeast. These steep ridges separate the watersheds of several named tributaries such as Rowdy Creek, Hardscrabble Creek, and Hutsinpillar Creek.
