Low Divide serves as a focal point for this mountainous region along the border of Siskiyou National Forest and Six Rivers National Forest. The geography is defined by a dense network of watercourses, most notably the Smith Wild and Scenic River and its various tributaries including Bear Cr, Copper Cr, and Rowdy Cr. The complex terrain rises toward prominent elevations such as Signal Peak and Gasquet Mtn, which overlook the transition from the S Fork Winchuck River drainage into the broader Smith WSR corridor.
