Lonetree lies at the northern edge of this high-altitude landscape, where the border between Wyoming and Utah intersects the drainage systems of the Wasatch National Forest. The geography is defined by the branching waters of W Fork Beaver Cr, Middle Fork Beaver Cr, and E Fork Beaver Cr, which carve through the Bald Range and around landmarks like Poison Mtn. These waterways create a network of alpine meadows and clearings, such as Willow Park and Georges Park, that have long served as focal points for movement through the timber.
