Horn Silver Gulch cuts through this high desert landscape in Emery County, defining a region where water management is the primary human imprint on the land. During the mid-2010s, this area remained largely undeveloped, characterized by a series of critical water features such as S Sand Reservoir, Red Point Reservoir, and the fancifully named Cinderella Reservoir. These small catchments, along with Hendrick Spring and Oscars Pond, point to the necessity of water storage for livestock and land management in the arid Utah interior.
