The Cabinet Mountains dominate this 2017 survey of the borderlands between Lincoln and Sanders Counties. A high-altitude landscape defined by glacially carved basins and sharp ridges, the area is home to a dense concentration of mountain waters, including Ramsey Lake, Howard Lake, and the remote Wanless Lake at the foot of Engle Peak. The topography is shaped by the LibBY Divide, which separates the drainages of Libby Creek and Lake Creek.
