1969 Map of Hozomeen Mtn

About this map

Ross Lake dominates this rugged North Cascades corridor, where the Skagit River valley was transformed into a deep reservoir behind the Ross Dam. At the time of this 1969 field check, the shoreline was already established at a spillway elevation of 1604 feet, creating a remote water-access landscape within the Ross Lake National Recreation Area. The international border with British Columbia defines the northern edge of the map at Mile 127, where the Hozomeen Ranger Station and Hozomeen Campground serve as the primary human outposts.
