The Deep Creek Range dominates this portion of western Utah, where the high-altitude terrain is defined by the prominent summits of Ibapah Peak and Haystack Peak. This landscape reflects a history of high-desert mining and remote resource extraction, most notably centered at the Queen of Sheba Mine located within Queen of Sheba Canyon. A network of unpaved access routes, such as Granite Creek Rd and Cristal Mine Rd, connect these steep drainages to the valley floors below.
