Colville National Forest dominates this section of Ferry County, where the high ridges of the Kettle River Range create a complex network of seasonal drainages and mountain peaks. The Pacific NW National Scenic Trail winds through the center of the map, crossing the Middle Fork Little Boulder Cr and traversing the slopes between Independent Mtn and Huckleberry Ridge. This 2020 survey illustrates a landscape defined by significant elevation changes, ranging from the heights of Owl Mountain in the north to Dry Mtn and Jasper Mtn in the south. The water system is particularly detailed, showing the origins of several forks of Little Boulder Creek and smaller tributaries like Jungle Cr and Onion Cr that carve through the timbered terrain.
